mala chytalnia (which means a small reading room in Ukrainian) is a newly opened library in collaboration with the architectural office Форма
The project comes from a private collection that was opened to the public to affirm the future as a response to the destruction of previously existing cultural spaces in Ukraine by the Russian occupation forces.
Our collection includes professional periodicals, university publications, exhibition catalogues, books on political architecture, urbanism, nature design, independently published book and zines both in Ukrainian and English etc.
Today the library’s collection is formed on a donation basis. Among our donor partners already are The Fundació Mies van der Rohe, VI PER Gallery, IST Publishing, the Lisbon Architecture Triennale as well as many other friends of mala.chytalnia.
